1. What Makina is

Makina is an agent that does work on a computer of its own. You give it a Task in plain words; it works on that computer, asks you before anything with consequences, and keeps a journal of every step. These terms are between you and the operator of Makina at app.makina.so, the operator's legal name and address (to be confirmed by the operator). By signing in you agree to them.

2. Your account

You sign in with Google or with a one-time code sent to your email address, through WorkOS. Your email address has to be verified, and one address is one account. Keep your email account safe: it is how you get in. You are responsible for what is done through your account; if you think someone else has used it, tell us at the address below.

You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, and at least a minimum age (to be confirmed by the operator).

3. Using Makina

Use Makina for lawful work. Do not use it to get into systems or accounts that are not yours, to send spam or to harm anyone, to run on its computer anything the computer's provider forbids, or to get around the limits described here, for example by opening accounts to use more than one Free allowance.

You decide what a Task may do. Makina asks you before an action with consequences, and you answer; what a Task does on your instructions and with your approval is your responsibility. An agent makes mistakes: check its work before you rely on it.

4. The computer

Each workspace has its own computer, run by E2B, and it can reach the public internet. It pauses after a few minutes nobody is using it and resumes with its windows, programs and files as they were. A computer left unused for 30 days is put away: the files in its workspace folder are saved first and come back on the next one; everything else on it, such as programs, a browser's sign-ins and files kept elsewhere, does not. Do not keep the only copy of anything there.

Makina never asks you for a password. When a site needs you to sign in, you take over the computer's screen and type it yourself.

5. Plans, use and payment

Makina has a Free plan and paid plans. What each plan costs and how much use it includes each period are shown on the Usage page before you buy.

• Use is measured in US dollars: the models' work at the price listed for the model a Task runs on, and the time your computer is running, at a price per hour. The Usage page shows what you have used and what is left.
• When a period's use reaches what your plan includes, no new Task starts until the period resets. A Task already running finishes within its own budget.
• Each workspace has a daily limit on what it spends. You can lower it on the Usage page; your plan sets the most it can be.
• Payment is taken by Stripe. Makina never sees your card number. A paid plan renews every month until you cancel it.
• Cancel at any time from Manage billing on the Usage page. The plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, and the workspace then returns to Free. Refunds: the refund policy (to be confirmed by the operator).

6. Availability

Makina is in beta. It runs as many computers at once as its provider allows; when they are all in use, a new Task is refused with a message to try again in a few minutes, and nothing is charged for it. Makina may change, pause or end the service; before ending it, we will say so in the console a notice period (to be confirmed by the operator) ahead.

7. Your content

What you give Makina, such as objectives, messages and files, and what it makes for you remain yours. You allow us to do what running your Tasks needs: store them, show them to you, send them to the services named in the Privacy policy, and keep the records it describes.

8. Ending your account

You can stop using Makina at any time. To have your account and its data deleted, write to the address below. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.

9. No warranty

Makina is provided as it is, during a beta, without warranties of any kind. Liability and the law that governs these terms: the limitation of liability and the governing law (to be confirmed by the operator).

10. Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes. A change that matters to you is told to you in the console before it takes effect.
