It Asks Before It Acts

Choose how much Operator may do on its own. Anything with consequences waits for your answer, and you can take the screen whenever a task needs your hands.

You decide where the line is. Operator works within it and asks about everything past it.

Levels of Asking

Set how often it stops for you, from every click to only what you have not allowed.

  • Ask me about everything

Only looking and reading on its own computer go ahead without you.

  • Ask before anything leaves or can't be undone

Changes it can undo go ahead; anything sent out or permanent waits.

  • Ask before anything with consequences

The default. Work on its own computer goes ahead; sending, publishing, changing or deleting something elsewhere waits.

  • Act on its own within what I've allowed

It also goes ahead where you said “always allow”. Everything else waits.

Every Request Is Specific

An approval names the exact action, so you know what you are saying yes to.

  • Allow once, always allow, or deny

Always allow covers one kind of action for a limited time, and you can revoke it.

  • What exactly will run

The tool, its scope, the rule that asked, and whether it can be undone.

  • Requests expire

A request nobody answers expires after three hours, and the action does not happen.

Some Things Always Wait

Whatever level you choose, a few things never happen without you.

  • Purchases and sign-ins

It always asks before buying anything or signing in.

  • Terms and permissions

It always asks before accepting terms or changing permissions.

  • Money stays where it is

    Operator never moves money.

Takeover

Your Hands When It Needs Them

Take over the screen to sign in or fix something. Operator pauses while you hold it and looks again when you hand it back. It never asks for your password.

Moments Operator Stops for You

  • Sending a message

It drafts the message, shows who it goes to, and asks before it sends.

  • Submitting a form

It fills the form in and waits for your yes before the final step.

  • Signing in

It hands you the screen. You type the password; Operator never asks for one.

  • Buying something

It stops before any purchase. By default, a task won't buy anything at all.

  • Deleting something

Anything permanent waits for you, and the request says what would go.
